Anna Mariscal

Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne Natural and Working Lands Hub
For nearly a decade, Anna has worked with agricultural producers and communities to incorporate agroecological ethos and practices into working land stewardship. First on her grandparents’ farm, then as a ranch hand, then grower, and then technical assistance provider, Anna has learned and worked across a variety of agricultural and working land operations and systems throughout California and England. In 2023 Anna joined the community of Central Sierra Resource Conservation Districts, working with producers to plan and implement climate-resilient, agroecological practices and supporting regional RCD working land technical assistance. Anna is dedicated to cultivating relationships and building regional RCD agricultural services to serve the community and producers’ needs. Anna earned a B.A. in Anthropology, specializing in Global Studies and Medical Anthropology, studying the intersection of food and medicine, land stewardship, industry and culture. When not in the office, Anna enjoys spending as much time with her two horticulturally gifted grandmas, fishing and camping with her husband, becoming a better horse rider, and working on her fixer-upper home.
