Conservation Technician

Marin Resource Conservation District is seeking a Conservation Technician. The key responsibility of this early career position is to facilitate the delivery of MRCD agricultural programs by providing technical assistance to landowners, MRCD staff and partners for the enhancement of on-farm ecological benefits, mitigation of global climate change, and improvement of agricultural productivity and agroecosystem resilience. Watershed Program Manager

Trinity County Resource Conservation District is hiring a Watershed Program Manager. The Watershed Program Manager will develop, promote, and implement watershed improvement and planning projects for various and ongoing resource conservation projects for habitat restoration, planning, in-stream and watershed stewardship, vegetation management, and forest health projects.  This position will be involved in all aspects of program management including future planning, grant writing, budgeting, invoicing, reporting, project coordination, and environmental compliance.  This is a supervisory position. Watershed Conservation Technician II

Trinity County Resource Conservation District is accepting applications for the position of Watershed Conservation Technician II.  The Watershed Conservation Technician II works closely under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and the Program Manager and may perform a variety of natural resources related tasks.  This position requires a person who can work effectively in a collaborative environment, is self-directed, and who is comfortable working independently. The Watershed Conservation Technician II is a full-time temporary seasonal position and will conduct field work approximately June through August of 2024. Application period closes March 31.

Agricultural Project Manager II

Sonoma Resource Conservation District is hiring aan Agricultural Project Manager II. The Agricultural Project Manager II is a talented and detail-oriented individual who will work with our technical team to administer several programs from local and federal funding sources. They will engage agricultural producers as ecosystem stewards through the development and implementation of conservation plans, including carbon farm plans, grazing plans, planting plans and designs, and other related types of plans. A strong emphasis of the position will be managing complex grants and projects that implement specific soil health practices, planting plans, and other climate-smart farming practices. This dynamic project manager will also oversee programs such as LandSmart® Grazing for Community Resilience collaboratively led in partnership with Gold Ridge RCD. These climate-smart agriculture programs are designed to provide on-farm ecological benefits, improve agricultural productivity, enhance agroecosystem resilience, and mitigate global climate change through the regional LandSmart program.

Water Resources Project Manager II

Sonoma Resource Conservation District is hiring a Water Resources Project Manager II. The Water Resources Project Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to apply technical and project management skills to meaningful and impactful conservation work in some of California’s most beautiful landscapes. They will work among a dynamic team including licensed engineers, a registered professional forester, and other natural resource professionals. The successful candidate will manage a diverse set of projects in pursuit of multiple resource goals including wildlife habitat restoration enhancement with a focus on salmonid recovery, streamflow enhancement, watershed restoration, water quality improvement, groundwater management, and drought and fire resilience.

Administrative Coordinator

Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District is hiring an Administrative Coordinator. This position will report to the Executive Director and will assist with a broad range of tasks that support the backbone of the organization, primarily focusing on fiscal administration, general administration and supporting meetings of the Board of Directors. The Administrative Coordinator will work closely with the Accounting and Grants Manager. The position is full time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt and hourly with opportunities for remote work.

Restoration Specialist III

Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District is hiring a Restoration Specialist III. Under general supervision, performs lead, support, and technical assignments of moderate physical difficulty, applying
natural resource knowledge in developing and implementing Central Coast habitat restoration. The Restoration
Specialist III provides general guidance to the Restoration Specialist I and II and will report directly to the Restoration
Project Manager or stated designee.

Environmental Technician (Seasonal/Temporary April-October 2024)

Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District is hiring an Environmental Specialist. This position will support a number of projects and activities varying by the time of year and skill set of the applicant. Daily and weekly tasks are dependent on the status of current projects and will be directed by the Project Manager(s), with oversight from the Programs Manager. The Environmental Tech will communicate with project staff to identify project needs and plan their daily/weekly/monthly schedules. The individual must be highly motivated, enjoy working in a team environment, be flexible to changing workload priorities, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and have an ability to execute assignments efficiently and in a timely manner. This position allows for a diverse workload both in the office and the field work. This position offers a flexible work schedule with the ability to work remotely as well as in the office; and a fun, fast-paced, positive work environment.

Ecostewards Conservation Technician

Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) seeks a highly motivated candidate with excellent qualifications for the EcoStewards Program at CCRCD. The EcoStewards Program provides maintenance and monitoring on RCD and partner conservation projects throughout Contra Costa county. This is a primarily field-based position. Employees are expected to enthusiastically support CCRCD’s public service mission to deliver conservation and stewardship of the natural resources in our county while representing CCRCD at public events, meetings, and functions.
